#madeinEarthHour [16 of 60] | Amassing more than 1.5 million supporters across the country, Earth Hour Indonesia leads the way as a year-round, youth led movement to promote green lifestyles. They mobilse people for issues related to public transport, reduction in paper and tissue, reduction in use of plastic, tree planting and energy saving. More than 31 Earth Hour teams across the country have become change-makers for cities, from Banda Aceh to Makassar and all in between.

Documentary, film, photography, art and performance are used to engage different sectors of society in their actions, and their tagline #IniAksiku! Mana Aksimu? has become a movement in itself. WWF-Indonesia hosts an annual Earth Hour Schools event (Kumbang) towards the end of the year, where the key organisers from across the cities meet to set the focus for the next year’s Earth Hour activities.

On April 22, a social media campaign #Gara2EH (Because of Earth Hour) was established to crowdsource all of the outcomes achieved by the movement in the country. In fact, this campaign inspired #madeinEarthHour!
